The Rafael Scholarship Program, created in 1992 in memory of Mr. Rafael “Lito” Suarez, Past President of LACMA, who generously contributed his time and effort for the development of the international moving industry in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The purpose of this program is to give financial assistance to the children of the employees of our Active and Associate Members who wish to obtain a high school, college or technical degree, which without our support, would not receive this opportunity.

The amount granted for high school is US$1,500.00 per year, and US$2,000.00 per year for college and technical degrees. This scholarship is renewable for a maximum of four years, if of four years, provided the student maintains minimum a grade point average of 85%.
